The gun was never loaded
in the first place!
Fingers tremble,
won't tie the knot.
Mind runs forever
in an empty burial plot.
The pills became
too hard to swallow.
Heart is dead,
body won't follow.
Found yet another
reason not to smile.
Reached the end,
forced to walk another mile.
Can't live life
always being on guard.
How did the easy way out
become so hard?

Make you taste.
Taste the bitterness
of these wounds.
See the emptiness
and all it consumes.
I shove your words
right back at you.
Let you hear
your own untruths.
Push me away,
I'll give you a shove.
Make you feel the pain
you've given enough of.
Call me names.
I'll curse you back!
I'll play your game,
get you off track.
Taunt and tease me
if you dare.
I'll show you how it feels
to no longer care.
Don't bother to catch me
when you fall.
Soon you'll become something
that was nothing at all.
You don't deserve
an ounce of my tears!
